Tips and tricks for a Flawless Complexion

Flawless Complexion

A good skin care routine can keep your skin healthy and flawless for years to come. Here are the top 5 tips for taking great care of your skin:

  1. Protect your Skin from the sun

Always use a sunscreen, even during Fall/Winter. To facilitate your morning routine, you can use a BB Cream or a moisturizer with a SPF. Also, avoid the sun between 12pm and 2pm, when the sun’s rays are strongest.

  1. Don’t Smoke

Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to the development of your wrinkles. It also damages the collagen and elastin of your skin, which give it strength and elasticity.

  1. Treat your skin gently

Avoid strong soaps and detergents: they can strip oil from your skin, use mild cleansers instead.

Try to take warm rather than hot showers, which remove the oil from your skin. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on your skin. And make sure to moisturize dry skin with a moisturizer that fits your skin type.

  1. Eat Healthy

Your diet has consequences on your skin. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and proteins. Avoid sugars and bleached flour.

  1. Manage Stress

Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and can lead to more skin problem. Try managing your stress by taking some yoga lessons, setting your own limits, making to-do lists, and  doing all the things that you enjoy.
